Another purple venture

  Now you can see my jewelry creations here , finally I got it together (not quite there yet but it is a start). If you want any of my pieces just email me (I do this for a hobby and it is an expensive one, I must say).

My submission for MM: Spring cakes

The entire day has been quite tiresome, especially because I could not figure out for the longest time why I was hungry almost 3h after lunch (usually I can go on for about 5 to 6h!). Then I realized it was the brown rice (healthy but not quite enough- you see I have abig appetite!). Anyway after we shopped for a few things at local grocer, we ate at Qdoba (this was at 6:30PM- both of us could not withstand the hunger pang anymore). So why I am telling you this story- I have no idea! But I do want to share with you a recipe that I saw on Foodnetwork . I had been planning to make it for so long (Well ever since Meeta announced the monthly mingle theme) and finally got to making it today (a day before the deadline). Yummy chutney

  I am sure a lot of us love the flavors of roasted vegetables, especially roasted red peppers. I made this roasted red pepper- roasted tomato chutney as a side dish for some nice hot dosas. Here is the recipe 1 whole red pepper, roasted  2 medium tomatoes, roasted 1 onion, sliced and caramalized separately (reserve a tbsp or two for garnish) whole red chillies (as per your taste) and red chilli powder Ground coriander (about a tsp) Ginger, chopped finely salt and pepper to taste The seasoning included Mustard seeds Urad dal Cumin seeds Cilantro, coarsely chopped The method is pretty simple-  Roast the red bell peppers and tomatoes (I did it in an oven at 425F, brushed my veggies with some olive oil, added salt and pepper to taste). Caramelize the onions separately in a pan.  Grind all the veggies along with whole red chillies, chilli powder, ground coriander, ginger, salt and pepper.
